AG Hal Quigley
Hal Quigley
was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was raised in Redondo Beach and
Torrance, California. After graduating from North Torrance High
School, he went to Pennsylvania State University. In 1970, he
graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business
Administration.
Hal’s business
career began with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young.
Several years later, he joined First Interstate Bank and traveled with the
bank to numerous international locations. In 1977, he was a founding
partner of his accounting firm. Today, Quigley and Miron, Certified
Public Accountants, has a Santa Monica and Mid-Wilshire office. He is a
member of the California Society of CPAs and the American Institute of
CPAs.
Hal has been an
active member of the Rotary Club of Santa Monica since 1979. He was the
Club Accountant for many years, a two year Director of Community Service,
Vice President of Committees and has given continuous service to the Santa
Monica Rotary Club Foundation since 1983. He was honored as the Club’s
Rotarian of the year during 1990-1991. Hal was the President of his Club
during 2001-2002. During his year as President, the Club was recognized
as the Club of Excellence for District 5280. Also, the Club was
recognized as a Governor’s Club of Excellence by Governor Len Wasserstein
and as a Club of Distinction by President Richard King. In addition, Hal
was the outstanding President of the year for the District. He is a
multiple Paul Harris Fellow and a Benefactor.
Hal and his wife,
Kai-Li Wang Quigley, have been married since 1975. Kai-Li is also a Paul
Harris Fellow. Hal’s father is a long time Rotarian--as was his
grandfather. |
