Our new member Ann Greenspun was ratified as President of the
Westside Economic Collaborative, at a board meeting on 2/28/03. Ann also serves on the Livable Communities Committee, which is working on
Transportation and Housing issues for the Westside Cities. President Bill
Crookston is on the Board of Directors on the Committee. Also on the Executive Board are Kathy
Dodson, Co-Chair of the Economic Development Committee and Kris Andresen, Chair of the Livable
Communities Committee. WEC includes Santa Monica, Culver City, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Malibu and
LA from West Los Angeles to Korea town the Santa Monica Mountains to Playa delRey.
The specific purpose of this charitable organization is to form a public/private partnership, to
conduct research, maintain data and demographics, and facilitate education and the
sharing of information among governments and business and to promote economic development.
