October 26, 2001 - Speaker: Brant Didden

His experiences climbing Mt. Everest

Brant Didden was born and raised in Pacific Palisades.  He graduated from Harvard High School in Studio City and received his degree in Environmental Conservation from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  He has been a professional mountain guide since 1993 and started his own adventure guiding business Mountain Adventures Unlimited in 1996.  Brant has climbed and guided mountains throughout the world and traveled to Nepal this last Spring to Nepal where he lead a team of three climbers on a climb of Mt. Everest.  He teamed up with Babu Chiri Sherpa of Everest fame and formed Expedition Commitment - the goal being to use the climb as a fundraiser to help build new schools in the remote villages of Nepal.
